Saturday Quilting

Today was our monthly Saturday quilting group.

I finished the top of my nine-square block quilt.  I just need to find some fabric for the boarders, binding and backing.

I also cut out all the butterflies, wavy lines, and blocks for my butterfly wall quilt.

Just the appliqué and sewing up to do now.

I can't remember if I showed this quilt top when I finished it just before Christmas.  It too is waiting on some fabric for the boarder, binding and backing.

So all in all a rather productive day.

Your quilts will be lovely - I am at that stage with my first attempt and I laughed when you said that you "just" had to do the borders, backing and quilting as I am thinking that seems to be a mamoth task and wondering if I will ever get it done on one quilt never mind 3!!!

My Lorraine, You DID have a productive day! I just love your 9 patch quilt, the colours really zing! I hope we see it when you have finished it.
After your post about War Horse, I was so intrigued (you were NOT the only person never to have read it!) so today I went and bought it for myself. Seeing it was half price I also got two of his other titles: Private Peaceful and Shadow.
Thank you for introducing me to Mr. Morpurgo :0)
Have a lovely week,
Val xx
