Wednesday Flowers and a spot of gardening.

I enjoyed the morning in the garden, planting a couple of roses and the third lupin.  I'm just about to go and water the vegetable garden which is hard work now I have to use a watering can instead of the hose that shuts on and off.  Anyway here a few more flower shots.

I love the two colours in this Lupin.

Friday in the garden.

Well what a smashing day it has been.

I awoke to this, this morning...

Gorgeous blue sky which highlights all the different shades of green in our garden,.

I have planted out the runner beans.

Tomatoes in the green house....my last attempt this year at growing tomatoes.

I have admired the flowers in the garden.

I have planted a couple of holly hock...nearly ready to flower.

A rose bud already!  Have two more roses to plant in the garden tomorrow.

My lovely husband bought me some beautiful flowers on Tuesday afternoon - how sweet of him.

Some gardening.

Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day after all so we did a spot of gardening, weeding and mowing the lawns...well I did the weeding and Mark did the lawns.

It was good to get out in the garden and do some hard work, I actually felt better afterwards for it, even though initially I didn't want to go out.  It turned into a very hot afternoon.

I wonder what today will turn out like as currently is is overcast just like yesterday morning.

Flowers, Me & a Sewing Challenge for Myself.

Another gloomy overcast day today.  When will the weather improve I wonder?

Feeling rather nauseas this morning...perhaps from the increase in medication...day four today.

The medication for the migraines seems to be working well, although today head feels foggy, but could be due to the above.  Will have to see how it goes.

A Challenge...

Yesterday I saw this pretty little dress in the charity shop.

The embroidery is just the right size for small doll size items.

I wonder how many things I can make from this little dress which cost £2.49?

I have some ideas, so when I am feeling a bit brighter I will see what I can do with it.  Thought it might be fun to make a little challenge for myself.

My few days in Devon was mostly a 'doll holiday'  I visited a friend who has similar likes and hobbies to myself and we had a great fun 'playing'.  As the quote says "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing"  So we fully embraced the 'playing' and photos can be seen of our 'playing' on my other blog here.

On the Wednesday we enjoyed the Robin Robin Trip from Paignton - Totnes - Dartmouth.  Here are just a few photos of this trip.

This train station was built before the railway and the railway was denied permission so this station has never had a train go to it.  They've made good use of it though by turning it into a restaurant!
