What a glorious sunny day it has been, perfect for the task on hand today which was to have the trees trimmed.
As much as I absolutely adored our wisteria it was strangling and taking hold of the conifer tree.
As seen in this photo it is all spindly at the top. The wisteria had to go and the tree trimmed back.
That looks much better and will hopefully fill out a bit now as well. Several other big trees were trimmed and one was completely removed.
I took it fairly easy today pottering around the garden, due to waking up a 3am with a terrible pain in my head which eventually went my mid afternoon.
I am just loving all the colours and new growth around the garden.
My little wild daffodil plot is still flowering.
The camellia is full of blooms.
Our cherry tree has started to flower
It will soon look absolutely fabulous again! Of course it will then rain, like it always does when the flowers are in full display.
The little bleeding hearts have started to put on their display.
My magnolia - it is just looking for a home. We hope to plant it in the next day or two.
Our gorgeous maple has its lovely new leaves.
The plum tree has blossom - we might actually get some plums this year if we are lucky.
The rhubarb is growing well.
When the weather is like this, it is easier to put up with the pain, and just sit and enjoy and potter.
