Some fabric shopping.

I went fabric shopping today...I got a little carried away!

Christmas fabric to make some seasonal doll dresses and anything left over will be used for a patchwork quilt.

Some corduroy - again will be used for doll dresses.

Not sure what this will be used for, but I thought it was really cute.

Some calico for a new project that I have been thinking about for the last couple of years!

Some needed thread and snap fasteners.

Yes, this is going to be my next project.

I am planning on making Melissa, although I am sure mine will turn out quite different!

Oh and I also came home with a little cupboard - I have been wanting one similar to this for a very long time and when I saw it I thought it would be perfect!  Of course I have no idea WHERE or HOW I am going to put it!

Yesterday after what seemed like a ridiculously long time in the post, some gorgeous vintage smocking pieces arrived from Australia from my dear blogging friend Marina.

She thought I might like these to make some Sasha dresses.

I will indeed, they are fabulous.

Thank you so very much, I am thrilled with them and have already started looking through my books for ideas.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago now and took the photos then as well, but forgot to put them on my blog.  This is a beautiful Victorian Christening Gown which I will eventually turn into a Sasha Studio dress.

Some lovely New Zealand fabrics.  I've already started using these (photos on my other blog)

The first of our roses has started to flower.  This was taken on Sunday...

and this was taken today.

The lupins have also started to flower and are going to look fabulous!
