I awoke early this morning as I had a physio appointment at 8am...only I got the wrong day (or they told me the wrong day on the phone!) Still it meant that I was able to make the most of the day as it was an absolutely beautiful morning, the sun was shining and perfect for walking in the woods.
It was so beautiful in the woods today, the sun reflecting and shining through the trees. We enjoyed most of the walk without seeing anyone else. I did some recall training with Percy which went well as on the couple of occasions other dogs approached, this time Percy came straight back to me.
I spent the afternoon doing some sewing and was just sitting having a cup of tea when there was a knock on the door. Boy was I surprised to see DS1 standing at the door. He had planned a surprise visit for the weekend. Absolutely wonderful and so exciting as I will have a walking companion tomorrow!

On another note, my MIL's partner has been rushed to A & E, so we are waiting to hear what is the matter with him. DH has to take her to the hospital so we will know in a while hopefully.

Went to cook the dinner and heard Percy chewing on something in his bed...leaned down to have a look and he was chewing my ultra expensive glasses! Someone had knocked them off the table.
They have been totally wrecked...the photos don't quite show the full extent of the damage as the light isn't the best but you will get the general idea...
Nope that isn't dirt...it is tooth marks! So much for 'bullet proof' lenses...perhaps they are bullet proof but they certainly aren't Percy teeth proof!
Interesting angle to the bit that sits on the bridge of the nose...I am surprised these weren't chewed off actually.

They don't look toooo bad here...I tried to straighten them a bit when I though it was just puppy spit on the lenses...before I washed them and discovered they were tooth marks and chips.
Argghh!!
I use these for driving, knitting and sewing and in the evenings when I watch something and knit at the same time so this is quite a disaster. I loved these frames, they were a special frame that the opticians had a hard time tracking down for me as they were the same frame as a previous pair. Ultra light as I have hypersensitivity on the right side of my face from the neuropathic pain I suffer from. I found that anything heavier than these set the pain off. Last time I was down in the opticians they told me that they are not being made any more. What to do?! Will have to take them down tomorrow to show them the damage, have another eye test and find out what the cost is going to be - not cheap I know that for sure!
Funny, DH didn't seem too upset...seems anything Percy does is forgiveable...
