I've been away for a week and come back to see the garden awash with flowers!

I loved the way this turned out, with the leaf over the top, like a shelter!

Sunday gardening.

I have had a day full of achievements...spent some time sewing, some time in the garden, guinea pig went out on the grass and have been cleaned out.

The flowers are looking gorgeous, the snap dragons have started flowering.

Such a vibrant pink.

The lupin has survived the winds and the rain and has two more flower heads starting to come.

The roses are starting to bloom.

The side garden under our bedroom window was looking rather untidy.

I weeded this mess... planted some roses and laid some bark.

We have had dinner, time for a nice shower now and then I can sit and do some knitting.

A purple rose

Despite all the wind and rain we have had this last week, my lupin is still looking magnificent.  Unfortunately the other two haven't fared quite so well.  The top having broken off one, and the other looking rather battered and bruised.

Lovely the colour purple (amongst other favourites) I couldn't resist buying this purple rose the other weekend, when Mark pointed it out to me.  It has just started flowering and is all that it promised to be!  Plus it has a gorgeous scent.
