First up we have a Percy overload - having fun in the garden.

This morning to escape the one with 'man flu' I popped out to a local town to have a browse round the charity shops...I haven't been for a while as I am actually supposed to be decluttering!
I was delighted to find a variety of things all priced under £1.99.
Now these may not look much but I have plans for all these things...
The mats are going to be perfect for props for the dolls. The small ones will fit
'Rose Cottage' where the Hittys live. The larger one will be suitable for the 16 - 17 inch dolls. It is funny to find these as only a few weeks ago I saw them and mentioned to DH how perfect they would be for doll props if not for the hefty price tag they carried, so I was especially pleased to find them for £1.50!
The little globe is also something I have had my eye out for, and although I would have preferred a more 'old fashioned' looking one, this will do nicely, after all what do they say...'beggars can't be choosers!'. The little teddy bear paint set is of course doll sized as well and the teddy bear will be for someone. When I saw the guinea pig, I of course had to have that having the much larger model. The treble clef brooch will go on one of my bags.
'The Book Book' pad which incidentally comes from NZ with a price tag on the back of $8.00 cost me 50p - a real bargain and such a good idea to record who has borrowed books and also gives them a book mark to remind them whose book it is.
So cute!
I also popped into the 'Free Books' place which is unfortunately closing down on Saturday until they can find new premises. Such a shame as it is a wonderful service - you give any books you don't want and take any books away with you.
The one on the left is vaguely familiar, either because I have seen it on someone else's blog or because I already have it - in which case if I do it will be up for grabs! The Paleo Diet interests me as I know people who have followed this way of eating and living, so I thought I would have a look at the book for interest.
The Cottage Garden has lovely illustrations and photographs
It looks like an interesting read.
The next two books also look interesting.
I just love old books and the way their covers were illustrated. I wonder what 'Pomona' will be like?
I enjoy Miss Read books, they are pure and a delight to read and I don't think I have read this one.
So quite a mixed bag of a post of a glimpse of my day today.
Now off to have a scone with some jam and cream!
