There really has been a lot of Pausing going on here, especially today, having spent most of it asleep, part in fact due to the increase in medication, but hopefully these side effects will wear off soon as I really need to start some Christmas preparations in earnest tomorrow. There is only so much pausing one can do without time passing by too quickly, however, it is good to take time out sometimes to just be and rest in readiness of what needs to be done. So not an especially thoughtful post, but deep thinking is beyond me at the moment while my body and mind adjusts to the dosage, in the hope that I will have a pain free Christmas.
I have three Christmas plates which are now out displayed on the dressers, and one colour changing snowman on display which is the extent of our decorations so far. This time last year we had all the decorations up, but then we were also having a special visitor to stay for a few days, my friend's daughter Michelle from Australia. Has it really been a year since she was here?
He is rather cute snowman, a happy little soul, changing colours from red to green to blue to purple.
I have a pretty exciting week ahead. Visiting friends for a Christmas lunch, an evening Christmas party with quilting friends and something I have been wanting to do for the last twenty years, Mark and I are going to see Phantom of the Opera for our Wedding Anniversary. So looking forward to it.

I hope you have a lovely time. Rest, be pain free and enjoy the season when you can.
We too are not prepared, especially as it is my boy's 10th birthday next wednesday, as well as Christmas to prepare for.
Love your snowman, he made me smile.
Oh how FUN! What a great way to celebrate your anniversary!
Love the snowman and the anniversary trip- we'll get to the cinema if we're lucky! Hello from the Pausers!
What a cutie your snowman is! We don't have much more in the way of decoration yet either, but, like you, we've got some Christmas china out. I made some easy-peasy mulled wine last night and Ben and I drank it out of his 1982 and 1983 Christmas mugs!
We saw Phantom of the Opera when we were at university in Reading - it was the closest we ever got to London and we made the most of it. Have a FANTASTIC time!
Rest well & enjoy next week. Sounds like lots of lovely plans. Do you think I could have one of your delicious scones please?! Thanks so much for the in of on my Singer a while back! Much love Catherine x0x
Hope the good rest you're getting will put you pain free and back on your feet!

With others, I wish you a pain free, restful Christmas - and I envy you (just a little) going to see Phantom. I saw it THREE times during the 90s. I loved it! I hope you have a fab-u-lous time!
