Colours of Saturday

The flowers in my studio window box are looking colourful.

Such a gorgeous day again. I spent the morning outside sitting in my special place, sewing hexie flowers. I have found though that hand sewing definitely sets off the pain in my right hand,arm & shoulder though - TOS strikes again. My arm has been sore all day, hopefully it will wear off soon, the pain that is, not my arm!

Later in the afternoon I spent a little time in my studio. This time sewing for one of the 'lads'.

Shorts and a T Shirt.

Perfect for climbing in.

Yesterday afternoon, I decided it was too hot to do any gardening so I made another little dress.

This time for Angela, my 'Gotz' Sasha.

Today Mark (Lovely hubby) bought me a couple of really gorgeous rhododendrons, which will go in our front garden tomorrow, all going well. There will be before and after photographs hopefully.

Sewing, an Easter Swap & In the Garden today

Another fabulous day today, haven't we been so lucky with this glorious April weather?

A little parcel arrived in the post for me today.

This time it was a Easter Swap held by the Sasha Group which I took part in.

A pretty little blue dress and matching panties.

I've been busy in my sewing studio today. Last night I sat down with pencil and paper and did some planning for a new dress I wanted to try and make.

Fiona is modelling this pin tuck dress made with an old nightie I bought in a charity shop in NZ for $2. There is plenty left over to make many more items. Perhaps some underwear...why is it dolls are always missing their underwear and shoes?

I decided that the bottom of the green needle cord pinafore need to come off.

Yes, that looks much better I think.

Now for some wild life...not seen in our garden before...in fact not seen by me ever except many years ago from a distance.

Just amazing, the colours and markings quite a contrast.

I even touched it to see what a snake felt like!

Tuesday in the Garden

What an absolutely gorgeous stunner of a day it has been today. Glorious sun all day, just perfect weather for spending outdoors. I was up with the birds this morning -out gardening soon after.

The girls have been enjoying the nice weather.

Now don't forget to share the skipping rope!

Our front path was disgraceful, weeds growing all over the slabs and sides of the path so I got busy with weeding and then shingling.

So much tidier.

I've tidied up around the Cavy Lodge...laying bark and general tidying up.

I love my little private seating area...several cups of tea were enjoyed here today.

Lovely hubby has been busy out the back sifting and shifting soil.

The flowers in the window boxes of my studio are starting to look bright and cheerful.

The cherry blossom is still looking fabulous.

As is the Apple blossom.

Friday in the Garden

A ha! Gotcha! I've been trying to get a photo of Mr Blackbird for months, but never have my camera on me at the right moment, so I camped out with it today and managed to catch a photo or two of him. I also saw Mrs Blackbird, but she was much too shy to come within reach of my camera.
