After a rather stressful couple of days with work it is nice to celebrate the good things and what better than with a celebration of new life! These gorgeous little abyssinian baby guinea pigs were born Monday afternoon to 'Sugar' . They were right little rascals and it took attempts this morning to get photos that weren't blurry! Three sows and a boar, yet to be named....
Soooo sweet! I love how they pop out as tiny balls of fluff. We had baby piggies once, Lord don't they squeal. The mother (Shark Attack...go figure!)died during birth, so not only did i have 3 distraught littlies but also 4 squealing dust bunnies that had to be fed with a pipette every 3 hours for the first week or so. We managed to save them all, against all odds, which is actually something I'm really rather pleased about.
